More use cases, better, faster
Gostir is, first and foremost, the product of careful study of the way web3 has evolved since 2015. After three generations of blockchains hardly delivered any use cases beyond speculation we ask ourselves "what's missing?".
Our answer is that blockchain's main strength is also its main weakness: exclusive focus on decentralization and finance is what makes blockchain compelling, while also preventing it from becoming widely useful.
To solve this issue we are building something unique: an ecosystem in which a blockchain can be easily integrated with centralized and semi-centralized components. And we are applying this technology to where it would serve the world best: trustless AI.
Gostir paves the rails for disrupting centralized AI companies, while anticipating and preemptively solving the security problems in the open-source AI space.
Gostir is a ZKP-native, highly upgradable blockchain fabric
Gostir is not only a blockchain, it is also a platform that enables developers to use a single technology stack for both on- and off-chain components.
This is important, because in our experience all dApps are hybrid systems that have some decentralized and some centralized components. The history of dApp development in other ecosystems shows a significant trend towards re-centralization, because centralized components, such as front-ends, data indexers, and non-blockchain processing modules diminish overall security of dApps.
Not so with Gostir, where smart contracts can span between centralized and decentralized components, and where centralized components offer best security available, depending on the environment in which they run.
This is what makes Gostir into something more than just a blockchain. Gostir is an entire decentralization fabric where different systems interoperate seamlessly, irrespective of where they run on-chain, inside a secure enclave, under a ZKVM or in an FHE container.
Advanced security at every level
Key management
Once the double-spend security problem is solved, key management risks still haunt web3 users, from stolen keys to wallet software exploits.
Gostir takes a holistic approach to key management security, enabling easy deployment of advanced authentication and key management workflows.

Private smart contracts
Our smart contract architecture does away with the concept of giving a contract permission to withdraw tokens from a wallet. In Gostir, transactions are accompanied by explicit token transfers, so users never have to worry about what the transaction does under the covers.
What's more, smart contracts on Gostir can be fully private, executed off-chain by participants and committed via zero-knowledge proofs without ever having to publicly disclose data inside.

Secure hardware integration
Secure enclave hardware enables light-weight remotely trusted computation with full confidentiality. Secure enclaves enable third-party storage of key shards for key recovery and two-factor authentication.
Additionally, secure enclaves allow private computations to be performed where confidential data is combined from multiple parties and so can't be shared with any of them.
Gostir makes it easy to optionally use secure enclaves to run some components of your dApp when required.
